I purchased a 1998 Mustang Cobra from Right Honda on 12/23/03. The very first day when I test drove it, I advised the salesman the clutch felt funny. He assured me that was the way that high perforance sports cars clutches are. So, I bought the car.

About a week and a half later, my check engine light came on. I brought it back and they checked it out. They said the engine misfired once, and they reset the check engine light. They assured me nothing was wrong with the car, evreything was running correctly.

A week or so later, the check engine light came on again. I brought it back to the dealership. Both times I brought it, I complained about the car being hard to get into gear, which is a classic sign of the clutch going out. They checked the car, again re-set the light, and again, assured me nothing was wonrg with the car, clutch, everything was fine.

On January 20th, not even a month after I got the car, I was driving, and the clucth burned up. Right Honda refused to pay for this to be fixed, which was $1200.00. I had to pay myself to get it fixed. I had to call about 10 times a day to even get anyone physically on the phone.

Then, the mechanic who fixed the cluth advised me the check engine light continues to come on because the oxygen sensor is bad. When I called the dealership a couple weeks ago, I spoke to Rex. He said if the oxygen sensor is bad, he will have it fixed. I called today, 2/2/04 to have them fix it, Rex refused to authorize the repair.

They have lied to me and refused to take responsibility for selling me a car that needed repairs. This is a $20,000.00 car that's used. That is expensive for a used car. It it worth it for a Cobra, if the car was in working order when I bought it. This dealership makes millions each year, yet they refuse to fix my car. Within the last month and a half, through referrals of myself and friends, 6 people I know have bought cars here, just because we all kept referring everyone. They have made tons of money from us, yet they cannot fix my car. I am very upset and frustrated. Please Help!!!

When I called about my clutch, Rex told me I was racing the car and driving recklessly. Then he said I did not know how to drive a clutch and I burned it up. I am a 40 year old woman who has had many manual cars in my life. This whole situation is ridiculous. No one should ever buy a car from a dealership and within the first month of having it, have to pay $1000 in repairs. This is crazy!
