Right Toyota Sales tactics still reprehensible--all about hard-selling you whether you want to buy or not. BEWARE! Scottsdale, Arizona

Beware of the sales department of this dealership. They are abusive, hard sell peddlers who have no interest in what you want. I admit that I am no match for these tactics. I ended up buying a car--even though I had said at least 6 times that I didn't want to buy that day.
My salesman demonstrated his concern for me when he never mentioned my trade in--which I could have easily gotten 10 times what I got from them. I told him after I bought the car that I wanted to go home and get my things out of my car and I'd be back in a little while. He told me "no," went over to my old car and began (literally) throwing my things from the old car into the new one.
Unless you are a regular bargaining warrior, I strongly urge you to go somewhere else if you want a Toyota.
Personally, I'd advise everyone to boycott this place just on general principle.

I don't understand why you cannot simply rise to your feet and start walking out-especially if they became abusive!!!
I suggest you probably could benefit from some assertiveness counciling. No one needs to tolerate abusive behavior from anyone, especially a sales person. All you have to do is turn about and start walking.
Get some help. In the future, take someone you trust with you so he/she can grab you by the arm and lead you to the nearest EXIT.
Good luck in the future.

Hubby and I actually walked away from buying a new Ford Explorer. I think this was back in 2003. It wasn't because the deal was bad. They had the new vehicle we wanted, the price and terms were good, and we were ready to buy. We went there knowing exactly what we wanted and had chosen the vehicle within 30 minutes of entering the lot. We walked because they kept us waiting over 2 hours for finance. We had even gone out and had dinner and returned. They stuill were not even close to taking care of us. We said good-bye and left with the salesman chasing us all the way to our car. Our phones started ringing and there were two messages on the home phone by the time we got home and the phone was still ringing. Even though I did talk to the sales manager the next day (he called my direct work line) and he offered me another $1,000 on the Explorer, I still told him I was unhappy and said to take a hike. We did end up buying a new vehicle fromn another dealer. Once we had chosen the vehicle, we told the salesman that they had one hour to complete the deal or we walked. Guess what? They managed to comply and got the sale.

Thats how to make these places give you satisfaction. Kinda reminds me of a restaurant scenario ive thought about trying where I lay out the tip in all $1 notes on the table in the beginning. Thats the eye catcher. Then tell them for every goof up or for every extra 5 minutes I have to wait on my food, one dollar gets deducted!
