I bought a vehicle from Rpm in 2004. I made frequent on time payments for a while then I fell behind a couple payments which were every two weeks. I then started paying an agreement that they made verbally for about 2 months and then started paying double my payments per their agreement for about 6 months.

They made an agreement to hold a check for one week. I came in the next week and let them know that they could cash it now. They told me thank you and that everything was ok and they would see me next week so I left. That was on friday. Rpm arrived at my home two days later on sunday to repo the vehicle with no prior warning and after we went over and beyond their agreed upon payments because we fell behind.

We let them take the vehicle and then cancelled our check. They tried to cash the check the next day on monday after they took the vehicle without any statements. I went up to rpm to discuss how to get my vehicle back and they would not even let me in the doors to find out about the vehicle.

They were extremely rude as if I was walking in with the police or a lawyer or something. One week later I received a notice about the repo charge and that the vehicle would be sold in two weeks, when our original agreement on my reciepts stated I had 4 weeks left for final payment and they were not supposed to come and get the vehicle before then.

Don't trust anything those guys say. I have even been told by attorneys and secretary of state staff that they are con artists that do enough to be within the law and that is it. If they say anything to you even if it is an amount for your trade in, you better make sure that every word they state is in writing. Don't get screwed out of thousands of dollars like I did. They said my vehicle was sold and it is still on their lot and the secretary of state said it is still registered to me. Watch yourself with this company.
