Scott Evans Dodge has not paid off my trade in car
I traded my 2007 Dodge Charger at Scott Evans Dodge on 12/19/11 and purchased a 2012 Dodge Avenger. The Dodge dealership called for the payoff amount on my trade in car and after much haggling a contract was drawn up and signed. Between 12/19/11 to 01/04/12 I made three trips to the Carrollton tag office to transfer my tag. I was told by the clerk at the tag office that the dealership had not yet filed the needed paperwork and I couldn't get my tag transfered for this reason. I also was receiving collection calls from my finance company that my trade in dodge was financed with..they stated that the dealership had not paid off my trade off. On 01/04/12 I called and spoke with the General Manager and the Finance Manager and was told that the check for the payoff on my trade in car had been mailed that morning. On 01/05/12 the finance manager and General Manager called me and DEMANDED that I come to the dealership right then. They wouldn't explain why. They just continued to demand that I get there ASAP... On 01/06/11 when I got off work, I made a visit to the dealership only to find out that they were demanding that I give them my new car NOW and they would give me my old trade in car. The manager stated that he and the car salesman had made a mistake when they wrote down the payoff amount of my trade in car and they wanted to void my contract. I refused to give them my new car and take the old one back. He informed me that he would call the police and have me arrested for stealing a car. I informed the managers that I have a signed contract as well as approved financing and I expect them to honor it as I would have to. I pointed out that if he made any mistakes that its his fault and not mine... I then got back into my new car and drove off. He was yelling at me as I drove away that they will not honor the contract or pay off my trade in. I am getting collection calls from the finance company on my trade in and I can't get my tag. WHAT ARE MY RIGHTS ???? Please help me. After 01/19/12 I will not be able to drive my new car due to no tag and therefore will not have a way to get to work.. How is this type of dealership allowed to conduct business ??? I checked on line a the BBB and SCOTT EVANS DODGE and all dealerships owned by him are reated "F". I have already contacted an Attorney, asked FOX5 to conduct an investigative live report  related to the FRAUD and SCAMS that "GOOD OL BOY" Scott Evans seems to think is ok.  I will legally fight this POS !!!!!
Anybody interested in filing a joint lawsuit with me against Scott Evans Dodge related to Fraud,

Scott Evans Chrysler Dodge Jeep reached an amicable agreement with this customer. The incident was unfortunate for all involved parties, we value and respect our customers and most certainly do not want any hard feelings.  We appreciate the effort put forth by all involved parties that resulted in the resolution of this matter and wish them the best.
