Two weeks before I got let go for being sick one day. With no wright up or any kind of company Pow wow the Parts Manager Mark H. wouldn't talk to me or look at me. I thought he just had a lot on his mind. Then he and the Service Mgr told me to come into the office. gave me my last check and said today's your last day. I asked why whats up. Well Mark said you were sick a day so we have to let you go.
I was kind of shocked at first but then thinking of how Mark had been treating me I wasn't really surprised. I said come on there's got to be a better reason than that letting me go for being sick just didn't fly with me. They wouldn't look at me, just stared at the floor. I finally got up and left to collect my stuff then what happened after that really got me.
Mark the Parts Manager was being nice to me like nothing was wrong and buddy buddy about the whole thing. I felt like I was being mocked. I look back and realize that the way they treat customers and employees is not right. I collected my belongings and left but that's not it. I had to go back to get my last check, I got there and got my check and walking out he tried to stop me and wanted to know what I was up to, then tried to explain that he was not alone in this.
Wile I was working there Mark had told me many stories of him smoking pot and stories of beating his kids. How he was the man and had to lay down rules in his house. Then how he punched his daughter in the face then went inside and smoked a joint, and also would deal out of the dealership on occasions. I have no proof of any of this just my word against his or a pee test. He thought I didn't notice these things but I see through his little facade. Hopefully the Owner Pat Morrissey and John Simms along with others at Shawnee Mission Kia and Shawnee Mission Hyundai will see this.

You would be well served to realize who you are dealing with. One of the owners has sold his soul to to achieve his "owner" status. His only true ability is to spot talented employees, take credit for their efforts, and then to kick them to the curb when they have served his purpose. He hides behind hind his "religious family man" facade, but be warned, he would rip of his own flesh and blood to make a profit.

Just found out that a used car salesman for said company Mike R?? has ripped off his own nephew Shawn, deals in drugs and stole money from his own mother. It's really sad his son passed away awhile back witch is awful. I wouldn't wish that on anyone, but after hearing some of the things he has done i am surprised that he has not been arrested or disowned by his family. I heard all this from his nephew and confirmed by others that know his family. Shawnee Mission KIA what a joke, I cant believe they can sell cars at all. When I worked there two sales men were arrested and one tried to run but the cops got him trying to leave in a new car. With all that I've red on ripoff report It is astounding that they are in business. Its a business of thieves, and employer of?... You finish the sentence.
