On June 14,2008 I entered Smithtown Nissan in Smithtoen NY. I was looking for information on a new Nissan Rogue. I was helped by a salesperson ,Matt Brown. Mr. Brown helped me and I asked me to put a deposit of 300 dollars down. I informed Mr. Brown that all I have was an ATM card not a credit card on me. Mr. Brown informed me that if there was any problems he would put the funds right back into the account.
On June 15,2008 I called MR. Brown and informed him directly that for personal reasons I could not go through with the purchase and he informed me that he would have the funds placed back into my account.
The funds never got their. I placed several phone call to Mr. Brown on saveral occassions in the weeks to follow and was informed each time that he would take care of it.
On July 3 ,2008,after being fed up with dealing with Mr. Brown of Smithtown Nissan I called Nissan( I had informed him that was my next course of action).
Danielle of Nissan informed me that she would refer me to a Regional Specialist but there was not much they could do because the Dealerships were owned privately(can you imagine this Nissan tells you pretty much they have there hands tied).
0n July 7,2008 a Regional Specialist named Jonathon called me and got intouch with Mr.Brown(the salesman). mr.brown states "That he expected there call and he will pull the file and take care of it".
Well I just made another call to Nissan july 18,2008.
it has been over a month and still have not received my deposit. It is not like there in any disagreement or missunderstanding with the contract. I fell that Matt Brown is just doing this to be spiteful for cancelling the vehicle.

Finally I have received my refund.I got in contact with a manager named Joe and he did the right thing. It only took 6 weeks and numerous phone calls to dealer and nissan to get it done . Next time I will use my charge card and let them fight the dealership.

Matt Brown & the Scum over at Nissan Smithtown

This is one of the most corrupt dealerships I have ever had any experience with. Ive posted a horrible experience with Smithtown Nissan before.

I've made it a habit to check out any company that I do business with on here before I sign or put a deposit on anything... it's a very useful site, and it's become a lot more popular in the last couple years...

I can't believe this POS Matt is still selling cars, although greaseballs like him don't know how to earn a living any other way then to rip people off, lie, cheat, adn steal on every deal.

They are scum sucking dirtbags that would screw their own mothers to make an extra dollar. STAY CLEAR OF SMITHTOWN NISSAN!

What's a shame, is that Nissan itself, makes one of the best products in the world... too bad it's represented by dirt-bags like Matt and his goomba wannabe clowns that run this dirty dealership.

I think we should start a class action lawsuit against this dealership, if anyone is serious about pursuing this, please contact me
