Smithtown Nissan has to be one of the most unprofessional dealerships that I have ever had any experience with. Let me start off by saying, that I am writing on behalf of my younger brother who was completed taken to the cleaners by this horrible and deceitful dealership.

Being in the business before myself, for over a year before realizing how dirty you have to be to actually earn a living, I was able to dissect his lease (using leaseguide dot com) only to find that they outright lied to him, telling him that they were getting him out of his Nissan Titan (also leased through them - right the first time) 5 months early, when in fact they really just rolled in his payments on top of full sticker price (the deal was agreed upon at $1000 off sticker, being a 5x repeat customer). They also told him they would absorb the mileage.

Never happened. They made him sign paperwork as he was on the phone with his insurance company (something they should have done for him) by shoving them under his nose, while he wasn't able to pay 100% attention to what was going on. If your older and experienced in life, think back to when you were 24 years old. How excited you would be to be getting a brand new car. and if your young and reading this, please beware and learn by our mistakes. This dealership prays on consumer ignorance to make their money.

WAIT. it gets worse! I called to speak to the salesman, who played dumb and passed me along to the "GM". Well, by no surprise the GM, who went by the name John, was an obnoxious ex-car salesman who thought his position in life was a whole lot more powerful than reality. He actually told me I wouldn't be talking to him with my tone if I was in front of him! Why? do they physically hurt their customers?

Funny, I never thought I would here such a ridiculous remark from someone who was supposed to be handling the issue at stake which was thousands of dollars rolled into a bogus deal, hidden by emotion from an excited 24 yr old kid - my younger brother. Please BEWARE OF THESE CRIMINALS!

A great tool (once you get the residual and money factor from the salesman/finance crook) is leaseguide dot com - It tells the truth, and shows all of the tricks that dealerships like these guys try to pull over consumers that just don't know any better. Good luck, and I hope to God this post saves somebody some headache, time, and money!

You say you are in or were in the business, right?

Did you instruct this person to READ everything before he signed???

Did you instruct this person about what happens to nnegative equity when you trade in a car and that it just doesn't disappear???

Did you instruct this person about how much higher his insurance will be in a CAR FLEECE???

Did you instruct this person about the BOGUS FEES in a CAR FLEECE???

Did you instruct this person about how mileage is computed in a CAR FLEECE so that the victum of the FLEECE pays thru the nose???

Did you instruct this person about the common CON JOB of exaggerating wear and tear???

Did you even once instruct the VICTUM OF THE FLEECE how much of a horrendously bad deal it is for him but how much MORE PROFIT it is for the dealer which comes out of the VICTUM'S pocket???

Its a FLEECE!!!
