Recently I went to this dealership looking for a used vehicle.  Understanding that my credit was not good, but I wanted to re-establish my credit.  Go in and was greeted with great customer service.  They ran my credit score and they said I needed a co-signer.  I was supposedly 55 points lower than where I need be.

Well my mother had enough on her, my sister couldn't.  Eventually, I was able to get a co-signer.  They took her info over the phone, but requested she come in to sign the paperwork.  About a few days later I come back in just to see if I still wanted the Jeep Liberty.  I test drove it.  Everything seemed fine.  I was told to come back a few days later.

On a thursday, I came in.  I was asked to put money down.  I was stupid, I paid $500 cash.  Because this dealership only takes cash, credit/debit, but no checks.  Then was asked by the salesman (Cedric) to write out another check for $500.  I was assured they wouldn't cash it, but more of a precautionary measure.  And again, I did it.  Was told by the finance manger (Jerry), my car has not been financed but I was to bring my co-signer  and another $500 in on Saturday and the interest rate that was on my current agreement (23.5%) would change.

I drove off with the vehicle and started to have reservations about it.  Next day shopped for a new vehicle.  Got approved on my own.  Called the dealership in where I initially took possession of the Jeep and told them my co-signer would not be signing the paperwork.  I would have their vehicle sent back to them.

The vehicle was delivered to the dealership a few days later.  Now the dealership will not entertain giving me the $500 deposit back.  The Finance Manager (Shawn) when I would call, would put me on hold and hang up on me.  Booker T, Sales Manager claims I scractched their vehicle, then was transferred to Cedric.  He claimed I tore off the paneling.  I went on line and they are selling the same vehicle I gave back to them.

Even worse, I started to do some investigation on how they do business through the BBB. Although, they are not a member, I found they had 36 complaints against them w/ an F+ rating.  Then started doing research into my situtaion.  #1 it's illegal for them to do a spot delivery.  They give you a car and wait for financing.  I was told without my co-signer they would not finance me.  I don't have a co-signer so I am giving you your vehicle back.

For anyone buying a car, please be informed before you go.  Because if I had known what I do now, I wouldn't have taken the vehicle off the lot and even with a person with bad credit, I wouldn't have felt there were not other options.
