Sterling Chevrolet Do not stand behind there sales Sterling, Virginia

Please stay way from Sterling Chevrolet located at 46990 Harry Byrd Hwy Sterling Va. We went to this dealer on 11/11/2011 to look at a used 04 Chrysler Pacifica. The car was in good shape with low mileage 60k.

We talked to the salesman who it turned out that i had worked with in the  past. We took the car for a test ride and it seemed ok;ran good everything worked and we made an offer.

We waited for a call back and went in the next day to finalize the deal and paid cash.

After going back and forth with the used car manager they agreed to our price.As my wife was leaving our salesman said if you have any problems just call me.Well after driving the car for four days the check engine light comes on did not even put a 100 miles. Even though we had a 30 day power train warranty. So i call our salesman and he tells us to bring the car back and drop it off but not at the dealership service dept but at Sears Auto(the Chevy dealer owns this shop)

That should have been a red flag. I call Sears and they tell me they were just getting it in and not to worry that used cars was going to pay the bill. I get a call back and am told its going to cost 260.00 and used cars will not pay for the repair. Our trusted salesman told me when i called him that things happen and Turk was not going to do anything at all.

I purchased a warranty via my credit union but they would not accept it cash only.

The very next night the power lift gate would not close it would lock before it reached the closed position.

I know we only had a power train warranty but the dealership should have good willed the repair or

at the very least split it with us one week and its broken down so much for them running it through there shop and checking it out before the sale as we were told.
