    Corporate Advocacy Program
On a lease contract Toyota of Garden Grove increased the capital cost of the vehicle from the agreed upon price when I wanted a lower payment.

When I discovered the change, after much agruing they offered me a settlement. Ultimately they bought the car back (when I agreed to give them $800 and the car) and agreed to pay off the lease.

They never paid off the lease and have actually sold the car again! Quite a racket - sell a car for one price, inflate the price by $2465.17 in the lease fine print, buy the car back, get an additional $800 from me but never pay for it and then sell it again.

Thoughout the process they have lied to me and mislead me. They do not return my calls.

Rebuttal:
I'm going through an almost identical situation myself, here is my advice to you. Call in the band, call the news, call the newspaper, call the Better Business Bureau, call the attorney general, post your problem wherever possible on the internet, talk to anyone and everyone that is within the sound of your voice. Picket, boycot, and use words that would amaze Ivy League college professors! As long as you are truthful, they
can't hold anything against you!

I have quickly learned, through my own situation, that being quiet, kind, sweet, nice, polite, and politically correct will get you nowhere when dealing with dirty underhanded car dealers.

As for solutions that are stressful and time consuming, you may want to track down the new owners of the car. They might be interested in knowing that dealership made more off of them than they would ever want to know.

Like in my case, the quicker a dealership turns a car around, the more money they make. Also, I would demand to speak to the owner of the dealership, making sure that he is completely aware of the dishonesty and unethical schemes that you experienced at his dealership.

Remember, everyone has someone that they have to answer to..even if that somebody is the public! If they don't reconcile with you, they will reconcile with themselves later by loss of business!

I wish you all of the luck in the world, now get out there and squeel like a stuffed pig!

I am a professional car sales and leasing rep for a high line dealership.

Where is this "fine print" stuff that you said is on the contract. All of your numbers are spelled out clearly and in bold print. There is no fine print. If you can't read it, complain to the DMV what issues all of the sales contract to all dealers. They meet the laws of the state.

If you can't read, you have no business leasing. You said you wanted a "lower monthly payment". Duh!! In order to get a smaller monthly payment, you must put more cash down. If you understand cap costs, then you should know this. I think you are just BS..ing us with these words "Cap Reduction cost" but you really don't know what you are talking about.

If you did know what you were talking about, then you would know that the dealer lost his butt on the deal you are outlining because they would have to resell this car as "used" if you are telling the truth (which I doubt). This being the case, they lost a lot of money.

For the person that rebutted your story and said call all of the media, etc. Guess what..."they don't care about your silly problem". They hear these "lying" stories all the time. Want to picket the dealership, be our guest and show your friends and neighbors how stupid you are; especially when the dealership has thousands of satisfied customers that send in their survey's.
Dealers are in the business to make customers "very" satisfied. We depend on "word of mouth and repeat business." However, we don't want "repeat trouble makers" like you ever again.
We'll send you away...trust me.

Now go lease a Kia or something you limp wristed, ham slamming "whiner".
