I am writing to let you know of what I perceive to be a scam by this dealership on the Cars for Clunkers.  I went to buy a Toyota Corolla at Toyota of Glendale and was told that with the Cars for Clunkers deal they could only negotiate that from a place of MRSP.  If I didn't use the clunker then I could have gotten the car for 2500.00 less.  It was the last day of the Cars for Clunkers at the dealerships and I had gone in at 8:30pm and didn't leave till 1am.  I bought the car and felt that I had been ripped off my Cars for Clunker price which was priced at $4500.00 the $2500.00 that I was not allowed to negotiate therefore bringing my clunker price down to only $2000.00.  I do not believe that President Obama had this in mind when he started the program.  This program is funded with our tax money and therefore I feel I'm in essence being ripped off twice.  This was deceit on the dealerships part and they should not be able to get away with it.  I'm wondering how many other people got the same treatment.

The way I understand it the program should have allowed us to negotiate the best possible deal, then take off the $4500.00 government stimulus.  I should have never been told that I could only buy the car only at MRSP in order to use my clunker.  That's pretty much bait and switch.

I already contacted the dealership regarding this situation and they refuse to make any reconcilliation.  Toyota Corporation is taking the stance that it is up to the dealership, so I'm stuck between a rock and a hard stone.

The next step was to write the White House and my senator regarding this misuse of the stimulus money.

It sure has soured me on that dealership and also on Toyota whom I had liked in years pass.  I know I'll take my repairs to another dealership or mechanic instead of lining Glendale with more of my hard earned cash and at this rate, I'll probably think of another brand of car to buy at the next opportunity.  For sure if anyone asks me if they should buy at Toyota of Glendale, I'd certainly would yell it from the sky...NO!  Perhaps you should to.

ALERT!!! CONTACT THE BANK....

Karl - highlands ranch (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, September 03, 2009
where the Toyota dealership sent all your paperwork for the loan & demand that they send you COPIES immediately! Your copies of the loan documents may not match what the bank received from the Toyota dealer! There COULD be an 'Extended Warranty' that was put into your loan WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE. There could also be other things that were put into your loan, like- 'GAP insurance', 'Car Care', 'Extra Care', 'Easy Care', 'Toyota Care', & other extras that you don't know about.

Someone at the dealership may have ALTERED your income on the 'Credit Application' & inflated your income in order to get the loan approved. Your employment information could have been ALTERED too, like- 'Years of Employment', 'Job Title', etc. Get copies of EVERYTHING that the dealership sent to the bank in regards to your loan.

WHY?

*Because they LIED to you! You CAN negotiate the price of the car if you have a 'Clunker' as a trade! If they LIED to you about that, then there's a good chance that they LIED to you about OTHER things, & they may have LIED to the BANK too, wouldn't you agree?

'Google' this- AUTO DEALER LOUIS F HARRELSON TO PLEAD GUILTY, and read it. I believe Mr. Harrelson owns a Toyota dealership too, right? Most Toyota dealerships THRIVE on- DECEPTION, MANIPULATION, & LIES, when selling & leasing their vehicles to customers all over the USA.

If you find out that any 'hanky-panky' took place, then you can SUE them & you WILL WIN!

Good luck.

When Making A Deal with dealerships

IamGood - Galveston (USA)

JI7:

You did have the right to renegotiate a price other than MSRP.  The dealership Lied to you.  You should have walked out of the dealership, and gone somewhere else.

You signed the contract though, and now you are stuck.  There is nothing you, or any body else can do about it.

Learn from this experience, and do not fall into this type of trap again.

Just enjoy your new car, and keep making the payments so that the Finance company doesnt take it from you later.

and charged them higher interest rates for their car loans due to their RACE, & their inability to fully comprehend the English language! 'Baltimore' is the last name of the main plaintiffs in that case against Toyota. Toyota apparently SETTLED this case for a little over $10 MILLION!!!

'Google' this- SEXUAL HARASSMENT TOYOTA, and read the article about a TOP Toyota executive and how Toyota SETTLED this case which was filed for about $190 MILLION by a former FEMALE employee at Toyota's headquarters in New York alleging 'sexual harassment' by her boss.

*I wonder how much she received? Isn't Toyota a publicly held company? Isn't the public entitled to KNOW how much she received? Didn't the SETTLEMENT amount come from the corporation's account? WHAT'S GOING ON?

P.S. Make sure to visit the BANK OF AMERICA page of this site for valuable information each day. And don't forget to visit the MERRILL LYNCH page of this site if you have a MORTGAGE. St. Clair recently posted a Rip off Report at the MERRILL LYNCH page of this site that has 'valuable' information for anyone with a MORTGAGE.

***SPREAD THIS ALL OVER THE WEB at sites like- 'TWITTER' & 'FACEBOOK'.

Thank you.
