I bought my car from Ugly Ducking right out of High School because i had no credit and had no one who would co-sign for me, I bought a 1992 Mitsubishi Eclispe, it was a really pretty car, but that is about all it was. I left the lot with it and it ran very well for the first two days on the third day as I was approaching an intersection it just died. Everything turned off, radio, AC everything. But Luck was on my side I was right across the street from the Dealership where I had purchased my car so i turned the flashers on and walked across the street. The Manager immeditaly called in the mechanic and they pushed my car onto the lot, He gave me a loner car off the lot and said that he would take care of the problem. He did a few weeks later I got my car back. The computer in the vehicle had crashed is what the manager told me.

Now mind the story I had only had my car for three days, after I got the car back I had it for about 3 weeks and then I moved to Fort Worth texas, where I had the vehicle for about 3 months.

After about 3 months I started leaking oil very badly I called the Dealership and they asked me to bring the car in I told them that I lived in Fort Worth and that it would not make it there and they then said there was nothing I could do about it. Eventually in about 2 weeks the car just stoped running. So I parked it and borrowed my soon to be fater in laws car to get to amf from work. I could not make the payment and fix the car so I called the finance department and told them that I was not going to make the payment that month in order for me to fix the car but I would catch it up as soon as I can.

Well i ended up needing a new motor, and I ended up getting more behind that just a few payments.

I called the finance department again and they wored out a deal with me so that I could catch the payments up quick. i paid all the payments up and was on the last payment, I called them that Friday afternoon and told them the check was in the mail the lady said ohh great thank you and have a wonderful weekend Olympia. On Saturday night my car was repossed.

I called the police and reported it stolen because as far as i knew I was all caught up on my payments and it was all good. I also called the finance department on Moday morning to tell them that the car was stolen and thats when I was told that it was repo'd. I was furious! They said I signed a disclamer saying that I would not take it out of the San Antonio city limits. Why would a college bound kid buy a car she could not take out of the city...because she was not made aware of that in the sale...if the form even exists.

Now six years later I have 2 repos on my credit one filed by Ugly Duckling Car Sales and one filed by Drive Time...I have never even had a car from Drive Time and with the way things are looking no one will ever finance me for anything again!
