Ugly Duckling Car Sales Ripoff The LEMON SELLERS of America San Antonio Texas

In 1999, I purchased a vehicle from Ugly Duckling Car Sales located in San Antonio. They led me to believe that the car I was purchasing was in great working order. I explained to them that it was my first car purchase and the greatest concern for me was the safety of my wife and 3 year old daughter. After I drove the vehicle for two weeks, it started to reveal its flaws. For example, I replaced the battery several times, the alternator twice, and various other parts. Still, this supposedly, very reliable car would not start. Often times, I would be in traffic and the car would cut off or the breaks would lock.

I decided to contact ugly duckling to see if they would be willing to pay for more detailed mechanical work. Their answer: NOT THEIR RESPONSIBILITY. I suggested perhaps a vehicle exchange and their own mechanics could run the diagnostics. Ugly Ducklings Answer: NOT THEIR PROBLEM

So, for a month and a half, my family and I were without a car. Therefore, I told them to come get the car, and I wasn't going to pay unless other arrangement can be made. It wound up on my credit report as a "voluntary repossession". They tried to "bully" me into paying the balance of the loan, every time I tried to reasonably settle the matter.

BOTTOMLINE: They knowingly sold me a "lemon" with total disregard for my family, friends, and neighbors. UGLY DUCKLING: Not a place I recommend to my worst enemy. The name speaks for it's self.
