All Lies From Ugly Duckling, Van Nuys CA Ripoff

My sister and myself were first time buyers and were just looking at some of the cars the duck had. We were then bum rushed into filling out an application for credit. When The rep. told us that our credit was bad and we had no choice but to deal with them, we tried them out.

The car was for my sister to take her child and mine to school and work. I myself had a 90Ford Aerostar with a brand new transmission and in excellent condition, so i was not looking. The rep. then told my sister and I that we needed some money down for the 96 dodge stratus taht we were supposed to get, I mentioned my van for a possible trade in since we thought the car was a better source of transportation not to mention a gas saver.

I was asked for my key to the van by the Manager Jerry M. To check out the trans. No problem. The rep came back and said he would give us $2,990 for the van. Good deal so we thought. Well come to find out the car needed some major repairs and the 96 dodge that was on the bill of sale was in fact a 95 dodge on the contract.

Upon problem after problem with the car we had to deal with the rude managers and pack of lies the Duck was feeding us. And just when we didnt think it could get any worse, we took the contract to another dealer and was told that we didnt in fact get the promised price of my van of $2,990 but a mere $600. What a pack of lies and talk about ethics? THE DUCK HAS NONE> I dont know how they can sleep at nite.

To take us for a Good van and stick us for an unreliable car is the ultimate pits. Not only did they rip us off but they took advantage of us and stole from our kids.

The car is only worth $3,000 and we are paying $10,000 plus 29.95% apr. Please help us. Thank you Vanessa L. and Robin J.
