Vacaville Ford Dealership Traded in my husbands car and payoff has not been paid yet..going on 120 days late Vacaville California

Back in the middle of May my husband and I went to Vacaville Ford and traded in 2 cars..we were happy with Ford and loved our new cars..that was until were kept getting calls from our previuos finance companys telling us our accounts were past due and we would tell them that we had traded in the vehicles to Vacaville Ford but they would tell us that since the loans are in our names that is still our respondility. We would tell them that we couldn't not afford to pay 4 car payments. My company Credit West were really nice and helpful..they worked with me and would call Ford everyday..Ford would ignore there calls and never return a call..they eventually had to have there lawyer send a letter...well eventually they paid off my loan after 2 months. But my husband has not been so lucky he is going on 120 days past due...Golden One has threaten to repo the car...he told them to go ahead we can tell where it is...( Ford had it ) they never did repo the car...But one day my husband gets a ticket in the mail from fast track...and Vacaville Ford had sold the car without paying off the loan. My husband called Golden One and told them about the car and they told him that, that was not their problem..that Ford could do what they want with the car but the loan is still in my husbands name so its still and only his problem.
My husband and I have called them and gone down there numorus times..we get no calls back no help..The owner and managers are always out to lunch or off for the day.
We have contacted our local D.A.'s office they say that we have to sue Ford ourselves. We can not afford an attorney. My husband submitted a complaint to our DMV investigates department..other then that we are screwed. We can not found no one else to help us...Golden One has now threaten to sue my husband and the account is about to be a charge off cause it's going on 120 days past due.
