I traded in my 2004 F-150 for a 2007 Mustang back in August. To this day, and after over 60 phone calls, they still have failed to pay off my truck which is leased through Wells Fargo, even though they confirmed the pay off check was sent back in September. Now i am stuck with two lease payments, one of which is this truck they already sold, or was repossessed by Ford today. What in god's name am i suppossed to do with that? And Ford Motor Co. response was "It's not our problem. It is between you and the dealership." They're right, it's not their problem...it's only their product and their reputation on how they handle their customers, including us US service men and women. Makes you proud this is what we go overseas to fight for. Freedom for companies to screw us over, just as long as they get their money...never mind us dirt feeders! I had a choice to trade in my truck for a chevy Tahoe at a Chevy dealer or stick with Ford, like i have for the past 10 years...

I stuck with Ford like a loyal idiot, and now i'm screwed. And none of this would have happened should i just went with a different motor company who knows what the hell customer satisfaction is. I mean, i can't believe there is no recourse for this without having to go through hell to get it resolved. All these customers complaining and getting screwed over and basically we have to suck it up?

This is our legal system? Ford Motor Co. can't step in to save its customers, but they can shut down a dealership that's screwing over customers out of their money and credit just to get the money they're owed? Sounds about right. When is the last time you ever heard of ANY American company sticking its neck out to help its loyal customers when they got screwed over?... Never. And i don't expect Ford to either...hell, then they'd lose money. Remember, it's our problem. Maybe they should make a new commercial. "Ford! Once you buy it, it's your problem!"

Granted, Ford didn't intend to screw us, Vacaville Ford did... but why can't Ford step in to help us less fortunate? Why are they stepping in to merely take care of themselves? They knew the problem existed for awhile, and yet fail to warn future customers? Why in the hell would any of us buy Ford again? Thanks for destroying my future plans. I always wanted to deal with BS like this instead of spending my time and money on a new home for my wife and family!

The payoff check is the receipt

AUTHOR: Mike - San Francisco (U.S.A.)

If you have proof that a payoff check was sent, then why is wells fargo still saying the truck is not payed off? You need to find out if the check was cashed.

Also, the dealership cannot sell your f150 unless they have title. they can't get title without paying off the truck, so that means the truck is either still at the dealership, or wells fargo repossessed it. If wells fargo repossessed it, you have a contract which shows you traded in the truck.

You can go to court and get it fixed. you just need to have all of your paperwork showing the truck was traded in, and you will have no problem getting this taken care of.
