I traded in my 2005 Ford Ranger truck into Vacaville Ford on May 18th 2007 on a purchase of a 2007 Ford car. I gave them $1000 and made my deal. they have not paid off my trade off and the DMV fees I paid through my purchase have not been paid since I have not received my tags or registration. I have gone there in person several times and get the run around. I call them and they say someone will call me back but they don't.
I contacted the better business bureu and they sent them two notices about this and they ignored them. In the meanwhile, they have my former truck for sale on there lot while it is still in my name.
I just got my credit report which shows that The finance company that financed my truck has put in my report that I am behind on payments
my credit was great before this and now it is getting ruined. Help! with your advise as I have run out of option rather than getting a lawyer

Your credit can be fixed !

Just send the three major credit bureaus your request for removal of wrongful information and make sure you support your claim with copies of the "bill of sale" that the dealer gave you......It has the date of the trade you've made with the dealer, which then supports your defense. Make sure you send them the copies, not the original, as probably you will need it in the future when you'll get more crap such as "traffic violations" that someone else made while driving it with your plates, and still under your name.

Just deal with the credit bureaus, they usually investigate and remove stuff that was wrongly filed when you have enough to support it.

Me and my husband are going through the same thing..Vacaville Ford even sent letters to our finance companys stating that this is thier fault and not my husbands and Golden One ( his finance company on the car he traded in ) told him that the letter doesn't not matter and that they would not take anything off his credit. Good Luck to you!!! P.S. I think we should all get together and pick it Vacaville Ford
