GMAC Auto Leasing Division ripoff at lease termination Billing me for $736.53 Auburn Hills Michigan

I recently turned in my 2002 Saturn SL-1 to Saturn Of Lakeside located in Macomb Twp. MI and le4ased a 2005 Saturn ION 2.

At the dealership at the time of turn in my salesman walked around the SL-1 with me and looked it over. It was commented what good shape it was in. I had washed it and detailed the interior before returning it.

I left the dealership very happy with my deal and my new car.

A week later I received an "account settlement" from GMAC with a balance of $736.53. Of this amount there was a charge for $84.00 which was an excess mileage charge (560 @ .15/mile) and a charge for a crack in the front bumper ($240.24). Both of these charges I take full responsibility for and will gladly pay but the other charges are totally absurd. The salesman from Saturn called me back and is willing to testify in court as to the condition of the SL-1 at the lease turn in.
When I called GMAC to contest the charges they quickly tried to make me a settlement offer of $600 that I turned down. On a subsequent call to GMAC they have now offered me a settlement of $589 that I also turned down. When I asked to see the SL-1 to view the damage I was told that the vehicle was sold and long gone and that I could only view pictures on their website. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told no but that they would make note that I had requested a supervisor.

The salesman from Saturn said he wondered how many people GMAC was doing this to. He said they don't make alot of money on the front end of these deals and that this may be a ploy to make up for it.

I'm not the type of person to roll over on a matter like this. When I'm wrong I'll admit it but when I'm right I'll stand my ground. My problem now is that I need someone to stand with me as I seem to be up against the wall with GMAC.
