It is what is called a "bait and switch".... They are advertising to give you a report of a car history based on the vin number of the car for only $2.95, but then they will charge you a $29.95 without informing you of the $29.95 prior to the charge showing up on your account. The charge is not refundable after three days but the funny part is that it takes the charge over 3 days to show on your account. I have 2 telephone numbers for this company (1-866-610-0654 from the website and 1-888-613-1485 from my bank) and neither of the numbers is a working number, (the 866 says the phone number has not been assigned and the 888 does not even connect it will just go straight to a dial tone after the number is dialed). So there is no way to contact them. I went to the website and reviewed the complete site and saw on the terms of use (which wass not disclosed in the inital ordering of the report) they charge you $29.95 and they do not refund charges after 3 days. Not only is there nothing mentioned about $29.95 nor three days cancellation when you place an order, I did not even get any results for my search. After researching this company I see this is a common complaint among people who have purchased what they thought was a $2.95 VIN search.... Another "term" is to keep from continually being charged the $29.95 every month you have to "cancel" the "subscription" and that is very hard to do when you cannot contact the company!!!! So since I cannot contact this company to cancel this "subscription" this turned into me having to file a dispute for the charge (with my bank) just so I could get my card closed out to keep this charge from reoccurring.....
