General Motors Corp. doesn't give a d*mn! Detroit, Michigan

As most probably know, General Motors has dropped Pontiac, Oldsmobile and Saturn divisions of their product line.

My issue with GM is the fact Saturn ION models built up to 2007 have a parts availability akin to a Yugo. I don’t know about Pontiac and Oldsmobile, but they probably have a better interchange with currently remaining car lines. Saturn has always been the red-headed step child of their line of vehicles. There are absolutely no Saturn dealers remaining, and parts exclusive to Saturn models have been discontinued totally. Not even available to other divisions to order. I have campaigned a 2006 Saturn ION quad coupe since new as a “toad” (flat towed vehicle) behind my motorhome.

GM even solicited motorhome owners to consider a Saturn with a four speed automatic transmission as it was one of the few cars that could be “flat towed”. (towed with a tow bar all wheels on the ground) I am now finding that any part on my 2006 (same as 2007) ION exclusive to that vehicle are totally unavailable. It is incomprehensible to me that a major US corporation can (and is legally able) show such wanton disregard to their customers. Saturn ION? Need parts? Too f*ing bad, Holmes. Trade it? That isn’t going to happen either. Any dealer now categorizes a Saturn ION as an equal to a Daewoo or a Yugo. An unwanted orphan which has severely limited parts availability. Who wants a car that at ant given moment may be come totally useless for lack of a single part or group of parts?

GM is deserving of absolutely NO owner following. GM has proven anyone buying one of their products may be left twisting in the wind. I will absolutely never purchase another GM anything !
