I took my 1969 VW and parts to Daniel Murillo at DRS VW about six months ago and paid him in three installments so far totaling $5968.12 to do some custom work on my VW. He won't respond to my phone calls, emails, or mail for two months now!

He hasn't returned my over 4 dozen polite phone calls with messages including my phone number or my over 2 dozen polite emails since 9/5/08 when he sent me a short email "Jeremy, my mother passed away 2 weeks ago and I have been dealing with that. I havent even been at my shop for almost the last month. I will call you early next week ok."

No phone call the next week or a month and a half later and here I am.

DRS VW has my vehicle and the invoice he emailed me after dropping the car off said it would take 2-3 months and that was 5 and a half months ago on June 11th, 2008 when I dropped it off.

The original quote of $7957.39 for custom work kept growing as Daniel starting adding on things that he "needed more money to do" but they were included in the original quote in the email he sent me.

He said the HID lights weren't included in the quote so I ordered those and had them shipped to his business along with HID fog lights which added another $1000 to the toal. Then to install them also included on the original invoice he said he needed $2250 along with $400 for an alarm he needed to install because he couldn't work with the one I provided him. All the above were suppossed to be done for the original $7957.39 along with other things.

Who knows what address my car is at? The internet shows the two addresses I listed at the begining of this but when I mailed letters to each politely requesting that he call me they were both sent back "return to sender".

When I dropped off the VW he met my friend and I at a gas station then lead up through numerous freeways and city streets to a warehouse packed full of VW's with little work area. It looked more like a storage warehouse. I assume it was one of the above addresses but who knows? He said he had just moved into a this new warehouse/shop.

I understand having a loss in the family but to not return phone calls for over two months nor emails for a month and a half I think is un-professional. I have no choice but try to get heard and get some sort of response or at least warn others about DRS VW and Daniel Murillo.

He's also not registered with the Better Business Bearu upon investigation.

Any input on what steps I should take would be appreciated.
