On March 28th, I was searching for an auto repair shop and I came across Mr. Larry Lakens website. http://www.frannysfmm.com/ I called and spoke to Mr Laken. He assured me that a transmission replacement would cost $1500.00 and it would be a four day job. I went in and took my truck, paid half and was told to pay the rest of the money upon receiving my vehicle. That was on April 1st, 2010. Two weeks went by and I began to worry so I called Mr. Laken to ask about my truck. I left several messages on his phone and received no returned calls. So I went to the garage where I thought I would find my car  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYbwq5qvAfE (this is another another angry and unsatisfied customer that posted images of the garage where I left my car as well) since it is where I originally was told that the car would be fixed. To my surprise, the garage had been abandoned by the owner Mr. Laken. I went everyday for approximately 2 weeks. One day, while I was staking out the place, he showed up, I approached him and asked him for my car, At first he denied being the owner but eventually told me that my car was getting fixed in Bristol Pa. He lied again and told me that my car would be ready that Wednesday. I believed him and that was a huge mistake because he has been giving me the run around for weeks now. I finally reported the car stolen. I went by the garage a few times and found several angry customers that were ripped off by Larry Laken. I found out were he is working and I have been to his job several times. I finally was given an address where I would find my car but even that is up in the air right now. Turns out that he owes the mechanic that is working on my car a ton of money and he also has cars in this place dating back 3 months. Mr. Laken has informed me that I would not get my car back until I pay the full amount owed. He forgot to tell me that all of this time, he was using my vehicle and that the mechanic just recieved my car. I am not going to be satisfied till I get my car back and Mr. Laken better get ready, cause I am going to sue the hell out of him. I will also be posting these Rippoff report all over his workplace  and in the area. I am calling the news reporters to have him investigated as I have found dozens of report on him. I am not going away until I am satisfied that Mr. Larry Laken and his gang of thieves are no longer working in Philadelphia or surrounding counties. For those of you whom are considering  doing business with this thief, you have been warned, don't do any business with this guy! He will scam you!
