Issaquah Auto Tech ripoff Issaquah Washington

While traveling across country, I stopped in to have a wheel bearing replaced. While there, they filled my fluids. Instead of using power stearing fluid they used motor oil inplace of power stearing fluid. This has ruined my power stearing and stearing column. Approximately 800$-1000$ worth of damage.

Ummm, power steering fluid is 7 weight motor oil /hydraulic oil, sometimes with red dye, sometimes without.
Are you basing your complaint on the oil's color?
Because nobody would add power steering fluid unless it leaked out. Usualy you never need to add any. It only holds around one 1/2 quart total.
And a leak will indeed screw up your system quickly, primarily by letting the pump run dry and sending metal shavings throught the system.
Based on your complaint, you're wrong, the very fact that any fluid was needed indicates a leak.
Answer this, how long after they "Added" fluid did your system fail?
Exactly how did it fail?
More info is needed.

Jen, I once put motor oil in a Jeep power steering unit, out of necessity. Never flushed it and 20 years later the power steering still works fine. Who is telling you your steering colomn is ruined? That is laughable.

As a regular customer at Auto Tech (stumbling upon this while looking for their website to make an appointment), I know they would work with you to resolve anything related to one of their performed services. If a breakdown can be proven with receipts and a report by qualified dealership or repair shop in your area, the representatives at this highly rated service are approachable. Otherwise, this complaint is invalid and salacious in nature.
The community of Issaquah is lucky to have this shop in town.

I'm not going to add to the questions already raised about your "mechanical issues." I will add that you chose to not write anything about whether or not you made any attempt to get this alleged issue resolved. I have taken my car there for years, as has my family and friends. If you have a problem or question anything, they will bend over backwards to do the right thing. You are the reason web-sites like this shouldn't exist. We'll see how credible this web-site is, if my response gets published.
