I acquired Lowell's business referral from an associate, and she stated that he comes to you and perfrom your auto repair.  I explained to him that I needed a Power steering pressure hose installed on my 2004 Expedition, and I already had my truck diagnosed.  He said I may need more than that and it may not be the right hose.  I told him to just install the Power steering pressure hose.  He quoted me $185.00.  I gave him $100.00 to order the hose.  He so called ordered the part, picked up my truck at 4 pm and returned it at 9pm stating that the truck is still leaking.  He also stated that the shop he works out of closed so he had to finish my truck in the McDonald's parking lot, which was dark.  He still wanted to be paid the balance of $85.00 and told me the truck needs to be pressure washed underneath so that he can properly verify the correct  hose to repair.  He said, once he find the correct hose to repair, he will get a quote on the part and let me know the price, and then I can decide what to do from there.  But mean while, I still drove away with an unrepaired truck, and he walked away with $185.00.

The next day I took my truck to Firestone to be diagnosed again.  I paid Firestone $21.00 to diagnose the steering leak and they told me that I needed a Power Steering Pressure hose and possibly a Power steering pump because fluid is leaking from the hose that was put on.  The mechanic showed me exactly where the power steering pressure hose was leaking and he stated that the hose threading was stripped when the hose was put on, and that is why the hose is still leaking.

Meanwhile Lowell is still avoiding my phone calls.  Lowell does incomplete work an I would caution anyone to do business with him.
