A VIP Auto Parts store in Portsmouth NH accepted my vehicle with the understanding that it needed a new waterpump. After having the vehicle for almost a week (6 days), they called to tell me that they were not capable of completing the job. It appears that the replacing the water pump in my vehicle is a large and complicated process and they were not equipt to handle it.

They reccommended another VIP location, the Somersworth store.

My vehicle was towed to that location and they performed the work.

I picked my vehicle up on Saturday and paid a heafty bill. While driving home the check oil light came on. I returned to the store and explained the issue. The technician that performed the water pump replacement stated that he noticed the oil light upon completing his work. He claimed that he "poured six quarts of oil into the thing".

He stated that he would "check out the problem and give me a call."

I did not hear from VIP on Saturday.

I did not hear from VIP on Sunday.

I did not hear from VIP on Monday.

I did not hear from VIP on Tuesday.

At 3:30PM on Tuesday, I called the store to inquire about my vehicle. I was told that it had not been look at yet and that it would not be look at untill Wednesday.

VIP has had my vehicle for over two weeks with little or NO communication.

The store mangaer, Paul, was unable to explain to me why, after four (4) days, they were unable to diagnose the problem with my vehicle.

A call to the "Customer Service Line" (207-784-5423) was useless. A man who indentified himself as Mike was only able to tell me the my vehicle would be "looked at" tomorrow.

As a result of VIP's incompetence and incosiderate actions, I have been without my car for over two weeks. Like most working people, this has been a great hardship for me.

I will not do business with VIP in the future and I will aggressively campaign against VIP and thier poor customer service and thier deceptive service and sales practices in any way that I can.
