Jasper Engines worthless warranty Jasper, Indiana

I had a new engine and transmission put in my 2001 Ram. The first engine they sent didn't even run a minute before it broke (original installer would show me what happened). From the start, the transmission would surge above 35mph. I took it back to the original installer twice. They gave up. I contacted Jasper to get it fixed. Jasper sent me to another shop, but they said what they had to do wouldn't be covered by Jasper. So I called Jasper to take it to a third shop. The 3rd shop saw there was something wrong. They did what Jasper said and found wrong, but the surge was still there. Jasper was then going to send another transmission, but luckily, the shop called me. Come to find
out, Jasper will not cover the full cost of labor! Jasper will only cover $60/hr, because that's what they say the rate is in my area. The rate in my area is $90/hr. To top it off, I was told if Jasper got the transmission back and they couldn't find anything wrong, I would be responsible for the ENTIRE cost of replacement.

So.....I have a transmission that isn't working right and Jasper WILL NOT GUARANTEE their product. So...I'll just drive it until it REALLY fails and then let Jasper replace it. I'll probably just have a good local mechanic take care of it since Jasper sure doesn't care.

To sum it up.....Jasper REFUSES to honor their warranty and pay the full cost of fixing their inferior product.

Do yourself a favor and spend a little extra for a good shop to rebuild you engine/transmission/etc. Don't let Jasper get you in the end.
