I purchase an Everstart Car battery for my 2002 GMC Yukon XL in November of 2007. Now, it is dead as a doornail. I have read about other reports of Walmart not backing their product. I will see tomorrow what they will do. As far as I am concerned, I will ask for a full refund and go to another shop and buy a different make of battery.

Hope it's only the battery....

I had the same thing happen with Kmart a few years back. They replaced 3 times in about 9 months. (and gave me no headaches doing it...)
I was furious but wound up feeling quite humbled. My friend hooked in an analyzer to my car and low-and-behold, my alternator/generator was dying and not fully charging the battery.

The alternator cost a ton to replace, so i hope that isn't the case with you.
