Be careful of Dollar Rent A Car's staff... they steal:

We rented a car on July 21, 2008 at Dollar in Denver's airport. On July 23rd we returned the car at 8:33 AM. We realized we left our camcorder underneath the front passenger seat. We called them at 9:24 AM. A Dollar agent said they could not find the camcorder. We went back to retrieve it around 11 AM. It was not under the seat. The car had already gone through car wash/cleaning. However, nobody on the cleaning crew returned our camcorder.

We are so terribly distressed. My sister had specifically asked us to videotape her wedding ceremony. We were the official videographers. Because my mother passed away last year from ovarian cancer, we all wanted this wedding to be perfect for my sister who was so sad she had to plan her wedding without our mom. The wedding was not perfect because now she will not have any wedding memories.

We asked General Manager, Rick Cliff, to tell his cleaning team to just give back our tapes anonymously, and keep the camcorder. No one has returned anything, however.

Although Rick has been responsive, Kimberley Carlson (Office Coordinator) was not at all. When we first got back to the Dollar location, Kim lied to us and told us that the car had already left. She basically wanted us out of her hair so she could take a conference call.

Theft within staff is unacceptable, and the cleaning crew in Denver should know that. Shame on them! They should know there are ramifications for theft. This has lowered our confidence in Dollar because of one person on their staff. This one person who steals is obviously disgruntled and unhappy with his/her job.
