I took my 2000 Ford F-350 in for a transmission service. I chose to wait for the service to be preformed. My Ford Superduty with 100,000 miles had been serviced at the dealer many times. The underside of the truck was spotless, I have never had a leak of any kind, Also I have only been in Four Wheel Drive three or four times while traveling on vacation to Reno/Tahoe during the winter. Rick Fernandez (manager) showed me my transmission after removing the pan gasket. The gasket was laying on the ground in the dirt, I asked if it would be replaced beings the way it was treated. He told me No because it is a reusable gasket. After the job was complete I returned home, Now mind you I park in the dirt and cant see oil leaks.

A couple weeks later while at work I looked under my truck and noticed a nice transmission leak. When I arrived home I did a further inspection and came to the conclusion that the Transmission gasket was leaking. I returned my truck to Aamco and Rick Fernandez put it up on the rack. Now heres where it gets funny, He pointed out that a bolt was missing from the transmission pan, I looked closely, The threads were VERY CLEAN and if it had been leaking for three weeks there would be plenty of dirt build up, and since I had done an inspection on it that morning (No bolts were missing) Rick Fernandez told me he would replace the bolt, BUT also said the leak was not the transmission pan or gasket BUT from the Transfer case. He said it would be around $1500.00 to repair the Transfer case. I asked for a written estament but he would not provide me with one. Not only that he VOIDED my warranty from the service HE preformed on my Transmission, Transmission Pan and gasket. I disagreed whit him about the missing bolt and disagreed with him on where the leak was. So he told me to "F' off and get out of his shop!

I brought my truck to (((Redacted))). where he took one look and said it was my transmission gasket, So he preformed another transmission service, New Filter, New OEM gasket, and new fluids for $65.00. Well I no longer have a leaking transmission, And it is good as new. They returned the Pan Gasket to me, you know the one that was on the ground in the dirt at Aamco, It still had a couple pebbles that compromised the gasket. My transfer case did not need rebuilding. I have reported Rick Fernandez and Aamco to the BBB and he failed to reply. DO NOT USE Aamco Transmissions at 2319 S Val Vista Dr, Gilbert, AZ. Rick Fernandez is a liar and a scam artest. Here is a link to the place I used That did the job Correctly, Also PLEASE READ Their reviews:
