I paid AAMCO over $2500.0 for a complete re-build of the automatic transmission in my 1998 Chevrolet 3500 pick up truck. THe rebuild was to include compliance with service recomendations and upgrades published by GM since its construction. The truck was used primarily as a second vehicle for occasional towing duties well within its published, and, tolerated limits, however, the rebuilt treansmission failed in less that 3000 miles. After finally locating my paperwork I returned to find the franchisee had gone out of business and I could not , and , cannot even now, get a response from AAMCO corporate. I've had mechanics since analyise my transmission and they all say it needs a new or rebuilt transmission, which, begs the question, what did they really do for the money I paid them.

Sorry to hear about your issues. While AAMCO is not high on my favorites list you do have options and AAMCO should respond to your needs try 800-292-8500 (AAMCO Corporate Office) ask for Mike Pekula he is a good guy and is in charge of this out of business AAMCO's warranty.
If you have paper work stating any upgrades. "must be stated on the repair order" insist that these same upgrades be completed under the warranty repairs. You paid for them and you should get them. If the upgrades were "suppose to" be there and are not stated then you are likely out of luck. (what ever those upgrades may be)
Your warranty has a certain component of tow coverage that may apply to the nearest AAMCO. You should not have to pay a dime for any additional repair. Give AAMCO a chance to take care of you if they do then good for you if not then leave reviews about them on GOOGLE and Yelp.
The guy that went out of business was likley a sucessful AAMCO franchisee.
