I had two wheel bearings changed on my 2004 ranger at a price of $1487 including labor. Each bearing cost $636. I went online and found these bearings to cost least half what I paid. I like to know what they paid wholesale. I found that local parts stores had these bearings priced around $230 each.

Central Tire price gouging wheel bearings Sanford Maine

AUTHOR: Ray - Sanford (U.S.A.)

I went to see the service manager. He agreed that I got charged to much. So he showed me the wholesale price which was $318. I paid $636 for the wheel bearings. He said he would have charged me $397 which I thought was fair. He said he would speak to the owner about it.

I have not heard any thing about it since. So I don't think the owner of central tire wants to pay me the difference that I was overcharged. I have been doing bussiness with them for years. So it looks like they have lost a customer.
