In February 2009, I took my car for repairs to JRB Auto in Temecula, CA. After this shop figured out that the transmission was no good, they recommended that it be rebuilt or have a new one installed. Because of the cost for a new transmission, I chose to go with the rebuild. I was told that the rebuild would be half the price and work just like a new transmission and it would come with a 2 year/24,000 mile warranty if rebuilt at Dyno Trans. Since Brandon already had the transmission out and he had already been paid for the labor, he took it to Dyno Trans for me (Next Door). Once the transmission was rebuilt, Brandon reinstalled it

On Sat 11/14/09 I noticed that my car was leaking a reddish colored fluid. I tracked the leak to a location under the car below the transmission.

On Tue 11/17/09 (am) I called Brandon from JRB to let him know that my car was leaking and that I thought it was from the transmission, but I was unsure. Brandon told me to contact Dyno Trans because the transmission was under warranty. I called Dyno Trans and spoke to Steve. He stated that he remembered my car. He told me since he was not the one who removed or reinstalled the transmission there was nothing he could do and told me I needed to call Brandon. I called Brandon and explained to him what Steve told me. Brandon said he would talk to Steve and see what he could do. I received a telephone call a few minutes later from Brandon. He asked me to bring my car in so he could put it up on the rack and check it out.

On Wed 11/18/09 (am) I took my car to Brandon’s shop. He put it up on a rack and showed me the area where it was leaking and told me he thought it was the torque converter seal. He asked me to leave the car so he could do a thorough inspection and confirm that this in fact was the case. So I left the car there at the shop.

On 11/19/09 (mid day) I called Brandon and asked him if he had a chance to look at my car. He told me he was finished and that it was in fact a bad Torque Converter Seal and is covered under the warranty. I went to go pick up the car and drove it over to Dyno Trans, where I spoke to Steve. He told me that there was nothing that he could do for me if I did not have the transmission taken off. I explained to him I didn’t think I should be responsible for the cost to remove and reinstall the transmission when it was leaking because of his work and the parts he used. He told me that he understood but he didn’t agree. I told him I would report him to the associations listed on his website as well as the BAR. He told me he looks forward it.

I have contacted an attorney and was consulted that Dyno Trans is in fact responsible for any damages that were caused because of his work and parts. My damages are the uninstall and reinstall fees. IF YOU DONT WANT THE HEADACHES THAT I AM GOING THROUGH - BEWARE OF DYNO TRANS, TEMECULA, CA!
