Franks Automotive is the perfect example of a company that takes advantage of people in a time of need and stress. They tell you that there is more wrong with your car than there really is and use scare tactics (if you don't replace this part the car will leave you stranded or worse could cause you to have an accident) to sell you additional services and parts. I took my BMW in for maintenance and to see about a squeaking the brakes were making. They called me back saying it is a good thing I got the car in when I did because the front brakes were really bad and about to have metal to metal contact. They proceeded to sell me new front brakes, rotors, calipers and then went on to tell me the suspension needed work too because it was becoming unsafe to drive and could possibly lead to contributing factors in an accident. This was hard for me to believe since the car only has 65K miles on it and has always been dealer maintained. I took it to Franks because I was tired of paying dealer $$ and had heard OK things about them. I told them to not touch the suspension and please have the brake parts there so I can see how bad they were. After this request i was told that the brake parts had already been discarded (SURPRISE) but assured me they would not have made it another 500 miles.

I picked the car up and took it to my dealer to have the suspension checked and inquire about the brakes. The dealer said that the suspension was in great shape and that last time my car was in (3,000 miles ago) my brakes had 60% left. They went on to say there should have been no way the brakes were what Franks Automotive described.

I will never take my car back to Franks Automotive and will be sticking with my dealer. I thought I was saving money by leaving the dealer but instead got SCAMMED for $1400.
