FRANZ MERCEDES AND BMW SERVICE & REPAIR Mercedes Owner>> I have a 2007 Mercedes Benz Temecula California

I took my 2007 Mercedes Benz to Franz Mercedes.  Initially i spoke to Jonathan.. i explained to him that  my car would not go pass 35 miles per hour.  he informed me that it was stuck in first gear and that it was a high possibility that it was stuck in limp mode because the transmission needs to be service.  he gave me $300.00 quote for that.  and he said if that did not work he would check the transmission gears, i assume by taking it down.  Anyhow, i took my car to him the next day, he serviced the tranny, and it still did not work. so he told me, he has to take the tranny down to look at everything, so he could find the problem,and he said that would cost additional $520.00.  i was fine with that, and then, he called me the next day and told me $3700.00... i then proceeded to question him, i wanted to know the break down, he gave me a list.... he said i needed a new valve body$900.00 and he said i need a new conductor plate $700.00 and he said pistons, clutch... etc.... etc.... so, i looked it to it... i called Walters Mercedes Service and they told me the conductor plate comes with the valve body... i was SHOCKED!  I could not believe this guy just lied to me, to make extra money... my family is a honest working class family.... so i declined the repair, i felt i could not trust them.  Then Jonathan, told me, he was going to charge another additional $520.00 to put the tranny back together!!!!!  i was more in shock!!!!!  i got off the phone with him, called the auto bureau and they told me to pay the shop what they want, go secure my property, file a claim and they will take care of me,  because the shop was in violation, because $520.00 the cost to take it down, includes the cost to put it back. i did exactly that.  The following monday the Auto Bureau went out there, and they called me and got the shop to refund my $520.00 for putting it back. i do not reccommend this shop to anyone Firm... They lie and will milk you for your money.
