My wife has leased several Nissans (two Altimas, one Maxima).
It never fails that, before the end of the lease, while doing routine maintenance, the Nissan dealer (three different dealers) finds that they need to replace "cut tires" or "bent rims".

My wife does not cause these damages, and drives only freeways and residential streets, not out-of-the-way or unpaved or rural or anything...so I find this "practice" common to multiple dealers somewhat "interesting".

If anyone else has noticed this pattern, please document -- I think there's a class-action lawsuit here...

Good luck! I think you'll find that Nissan is one of the best companies out there in most of the major consumer sat categories. I have a Maxima with 170K miles on it, and my dealer still treats it as if it's new. I frequently get free oil changes, the car is usually just washed when I pick it up, etc.

Because of this car and the dealer, I'm about to buy a new 2002 Maxima SE from them as well. Furthermore, they currently service all 5 of my cars (only 1 of which is a Nissan) and that includes my restored Corvette. When it is in the shop it is always kept locked indoors, and only the service manager or "my" mechanic is allowed to test drive it.

But back to your individual story. I do understand the situation. I have bent two rims on my Maxima as well. So, are you saying that there are no potholes on these roads your wife exclusively drives on? One pothole is all it takes - especially at freeway speeds.

Furthermore, the obvious response to your threat of a lawsuit is that, by your own statements, you have leased *THREE* separate cars from them, even though you have suspected there was this great " bent rim conspiracy" at work. Right....got it.

Like I said....good luck.
