Paid over $200 for 15,000 mile service on my Toyota. Service was to include new spark plugs, rotate tires, clutch adjustment and all fluids. Spoke to Ken Hull regarding the service. He stated that the spark plugs were platinum and did not need to be replaced. I insisted that they be replaced because the vehicle was running rough and insisted that the sparks be returned to me.

Approx 4 hours later Ken Hull called and said my car was ready. I went to the cashier and paid the bill and waited for my car to be delivered. After about 10 minutes I walked around to the Service Dept to check on my car. It was still up on the lift and the tires were off! Not only was the car not ready but they discovered that I had the wrong lug nuts for my wheels and they did not stock the right ones. I was told that they would try to locate the correct ones since it was dangerous to use the wrong ones. I returned to work.

Approx 2 hours later I was called again and told that my car was ready. When I arrived i was told that they were not able to locate the correct lug nuts and the wheels were put back on with the incorrect ones. I was handed a paper bag with 3 spark plugs. I asked where was the 4th and they said it was misplaced. Since I has allready paid the bill when they called me the 1st time I was out of luck. I asked to have the cost of the spark plugs refunded sice I was not confident that they were even replaced and they refused.

Immediately upon leaving I discovered that the transmission was difficult to shift gears and I later discovered that the washer fluid was never filled.

Sleazy Dealership

AUTHOR: Simpletony - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 29, 2012

I have zero confidence in anything this dealership does. They're crooks. They screwed me over on a new '12 Prius when the roads in Arizona I moved to during the purchase couldn't be consummated due to these very rough roads.

I had the car for weeks and they made themselves very difficult to work with; they weren't only unhelpful, they were abusive and while all the additional coverages I bought were finally refunded, they'd gone right ahead and registered the car in CA when they knew damned well it was an AZ car and we were AZ buyers, having already moved the preceding week.

They're traditional 'used car' dealers who care nothing about facts or righteousness and make up stories as they go along to cover their butts. I've complained to the state of California and am going to sue them for a laundry list of offenses.

NEVER, NEVER BUY A CAR FROM THESE IDIOTS

You can not request a refund for services you INSISTED upon.. You were not ripped off

AUTHOR: Efi - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, January 17, 2011

There are a few problems with this complaint. First there are a number of reasons for why your car may not have needed the spark plugs changed, and alternate reasons for the problem with your car. Having just dealt with this situation with my toyota I know this first hand. Spark plugs are not the sole cause of these problems. Second you insisted the spark plugs be replaced. Therefore you cannot request a refund on the service when one of four spark plugs are not returned to you on a service you insisted be performed. Perhaps a better approach would have been to ask to speak to the service advosor regarding the missing spark plug rather than asking for a free service that you were advised did not need to be performed. Why would you request the cost of the spark pluhs be replaced rather than requesting the cost of one spark plug be replaced when you have evidence f at least three being replaced?

Next there is the issue of the lug nuts. Why ar eyou holding this company responsible for your care previously having the wrong lug nuts upon your vehicle? It would seem that would be the responsibility of the prior person who serviced and removed or replaced this part. The original ones were replaced as protical as you did not authorize the purchase of new lug nuts which is something you woudl have had to pay for. The shop did not carry the correct size and there for your car wa sunable to have them replaced. It is dangerous to go extended traveling periods with the incorrect size but had you returned your vehicle to them when the correct size was ordered this would have been corrected. You did not pay for the lug nuts so it is not a rip off.

With the addition of the washer fluid not being filed to you report, it sounds as if you just wanted to whine regarding not getting your way and were expecting a free spark plug change and when you did not get this service for free( as you did not deserve it for free when you requested an uneeded service be performed) you tore apart a reputible company simply to feel better.

This situation was your fault and you have not been ripped off. You can not demand a service then asume it has not been performed when you have the proof in your hands that it has been.

Additionally washer fluid can be bought for less than 5 dollars and is hardly worth filing in a rip off report

This company has always done quality work for all of my Toyotas and I honestly dont see how you were ripped off
