My wife bought a 2001 Daewoo Lanos from Gary Wildman back in Jan.2009,before we met for $1500.00.He neglected to tell her the company went bankrupt and it is impossible to get parts usually taking 3-4 weeks.In Dec. of 2010 the car was brought to him because the engine was flooding and would not start.He first told me the electrical control unit was bad and it would cost 850.00 to fix,the book value of the car is $890.00.Then 2 weeks later later I find out ECU not bad but 2 sensors and ignition coil are bad,he never told me,finding out through Ted his friend.Three weeks later we p/u car bill is $908.00.We bring car home and does not start next morning.He tows car back and tries to charge my wife another $300.00.We refuse and he gives us the car,I never authorized repair,he agreed.Next morning car won't start again and gas is mixing with oil in the crankcase again.This car is a lemon and I was stupid for trusting her friend Ted who said he was a good mechanic.He was very rude and short to me and my wife as well!

Here's What The BBB Is!

The BBB is a credible source???  What have you been smoking.  Oh yes, I see...you bought your BBB "membership" and you BOUGHT your phoney accreditation!

The BBB is NOT part of Federal Government!
The BBB is NOT part of State Government!
The BBB is NOT part of County Government!
The BBB is NOT part of any City or Town Government!
The BBB is NOT part of the Attorney General's Office!
The BBB is NOT part of any government consumer protection office!

The BBB has absolutely ZERO enforcement powers.
The BBB has absolutely NOTHING to do with ANY judicial office or authority.

The BBB goes to great pains to try to DECEIVE the public into thinking they are what they are definetly NOT.

The BBB writes news releases using DECEPTIVE, legalistic sounding language to further perpetrate the FRAUD they have some connection to government, which they absolutely DO NOT.

Anybody can buy a BBB "membership".  There is no "grand investigation" of the business.  Anybody with the money can BUY into this CONGAME.  Anybody can BUY a phoney BBB "accreditation".  This PHONEY ACCREDITATION has ZERO weight in the business community because the average experienced businessman knows all about the BBB congame.

The BBB gets its "CUSTOMERS" this way:  Somebody will be defrauded or deceived by a business and they complain to the BBB thinking the BBB has some enforcement power, WHICH THEY DO NOT!  The BBB then uses this information as a SALES LEAD...they approach the business with an offer to SELL an "accreditation".  Bingo...any con-artist who is willing to pay the price gets a PHONEY A+ rating.

Go to Youtube and type in "BBB Fraud"...you'll see the story! 

And finally, BEWARE of any business which HIDES BEHIND the BBB.  Remember, the BBB is a Snake-In-The-Grass congame.
