Dearborn Auto Toyz Sound and Security is a new shop and I decided to give them a shot and got burned big time. The saleswoman offered me an unbeatable deal since it was their grand opening on a Viper 5900 model Alarm 1mile range with SST responder for $400 installed which is normally $550-$650 at other places like Best Buy and Mickey Shorr. I paid for it and $50 for a window tint treatment.

The owner disagreed with the price the saleswoman gave me and intentionally installed a lower end model alarm the Viper 791xv. I immediately noticed that the remote start only work within close proximity of my vehicle which obvious was not the mile range it boasted. I returned to the store 3 times before they admitted that they installed the wrong alarm so I made a deal with the owner install the right one and refund me the $50 for the Window Tint or I will take legal action and make sure that this story is heard on all consumer related sites. He did refund the $50 but just two weeks later my siren is dying on the alarm and the range was never what it claimed to be.

I feel that I was given terrible service and I may possibly have refurbished equipment that I paid my hard earned money for thinking it was new. I was told that Monday is the soonest that I can take my vehicle in for service so stay tuned...

Two weeks ago I went into the shop for a signal issue I was having with my Viper alarm which is supposed to have one mile and/or 15 football fields signal strength but mine is only working within a 1/4 mile range. Now Alex is was the alleged owner is actually just a partner but anyways he intentionally put the wrong alarm in my truck the first time so I am under the assumption that he put the Viper alarm with 1/4 mile range to undermine my intelligence once again. When I arrived at the shop Alex pulled up the Rip Off Report complaint I filed against him and he became hostile raising his voice and using foul language so I told him to go f*** himself and then he wanted to fight the actual store owner whose name is Terrence had to calm down the situation because if he wasn't there I'm certain that Alex would have assaulted me and left me no choice but to whoop his a$$. Anyways Terrence said that he would take care of the issue personally and he apologized for his partner's ignorance and lack of professionalism. Terrence was supposed to give me a call last week but I am hopeful that he will keep his word as he appeared to be much more professional and understanding than Alex. I will keep you posted...

They Went Out Of Business

The previous business before me (Auto Toyz) went out of business last year we (Dearborn Auto All1/Dearborn Auto Sound) have been here since December 2008. The reason why I'm replying to this is because every time my business gets Googled this report is the first thing that pops up (because of the address). So if you can, please delete the report and by the way, you're DEFINITELY NOT the only one that has a story like this. I've had customers come in saying they want there deposits back (before they closed they took deposits from people and ran with them...one customer lost $600 others lost less but thats out of what I know).
