These retread slicks are dangerous. A cap flew off my car at 55mph! When I brought my complaint to the dealers attention; i was told there was no warranty and I was out of luck. I contacted the manufacturer via a web forum they are on and was ignored. These tires will get you killed!

We have no knowledge of this customers complaint or situation. Hurst Racing Tires has been in buisness since 1961 and has never ignored any complaint or situation. If you have bought these tires through a Retailer I would appreciate info on who it was and at what time the transaction was handled. Hurst Tires has always served my business well.

I run a traditional Hotrod shop, and I have ordered many sets of Hurst tires. I have never had any issues with service, or being ignored. I did receive one blemished tire, and they replaced it free of charge with prepaid return shipping. I am very happy with their stuff. Please get your facts straight before you bash someone on a public forum.

Their website says: 

All D.O.T. tires have passed D.O.T. requirements but have a reduced or alterd tread pattern of standard D.O.T. tires produced for normal highway use. Due to these differences, these tires are not suitable for normal highway use.
HURST RACING TIRES are sold as is. Race tires are not tested or labeled to meet FVMSS 109 and therefore it is illegal to sell race tires for use on public streets or highways."


 Any simpleton can read that.
