We were on our way from Tennessee to Kansas on Thursday, September 3, 2009, when we were met with the unfortunate flat tire after we ran over something in the road. We put the spare on and that to went flat. We called a tow truck and we were towed to the nearest Wal-Mart #0678 (the Wal-Mart of complaint).
We were greeted by Mark, at about 9:30am, whom took our information and continually scratched his crotch as he took our information. We repeated the information to him several times.
We needed 2 tires. So we waited… and waited…. And waited… about every 20 minutes we would see cars come in, get worked on, and get released. We continually asked wen our truck will get worked on and Mark kept saying… I don’t know (all the while still digging at his crotch!)
All we needed were two tires. So, we waited... and waited… and waited. Then about 11:00am we saw them take our truck in. THANK GOD! We thought. However, upon examination of the truck (@ 11:34am) we noticed they were the WRONG tires! They had to change the tires; those would not work on the truck. So, again… we waited… and waited. And repeatedly asked how long it would take. We were told the same thing my crotch scratching Mark.
Finally our truck was done @ 1:51pm (our receipt time). We were charged $253.00 for two (2) tires. We got the normal “I’m sorry” from the manager and the cashier but we think we deserve something more after having to endure 4 hours and 21 minutes for TWO TIRES; and the drama of having to watch Mark scratch his crotch continually.
