I rented a car from Enterprise after an accident in my personal car in which a friend backed into it leaving her driveway. I checked the car for damages and none were found. I drove the car, I had to wait till the end of the day as they had none all day. When my car was finished from the repair I returned the car to the repair shop not Enterprise. Enterprise was called to let them know the car was ready for pickup but it was the weekend and the weather was bad, snow. The repair shop inspected the car and drove it around back to a secure location. Enterprise picked up the car after inspecting it on the repair shop premesis no problems. End of story I thought. Wrong. About 3 to 4 weeks later I got a bill in the mail for $235.00 for a new windshield and $50.00 admin fee. I was never notified of any damages prior to this letter. I called my repair shop, who called the Enterprise facility in Bensalem Pa. They said they did not have any record of damage to the vehicle. I called the Enterprise toll free number and was told Safelight did the repair work. I called Safelight and they said they see an invoice for a windshield but no other info. I informed them I would not be paying for this as no one had ever contacted me before, during or after the repair for my inspection. Enterprise in Bensalem said they would take care of the bill as they did not report anything wrong. Wrong Another month another bill another phone call. The Enterprise rep this time said I was responsible for the car until it reached it's original pick up location 50 miles from it's return.
A dispute has been filed.
