I rented a car from Saban Rent a Car from July 7, 2008 to July 14, 2008 and I was due at 4:30 p.m. but the manager Chad said I could bring it at 6:30p.m. because I was going to rent it for another day. I was at my home about to go to the Saban it was 6:00 p.m. and these people repossess the vehicle with all of my stuff in it. The next day I spoke to Chad and he said I did not know anyone took the vehicle and I will get your stuff back for you. They returned my property and none of my money or my friend's wallet. I called to find out the repossession company they used and he said he does not know and only the district manager knows. I kept calling and they kept giving me the run around about when the manger would be in. Then they started to give false numbers of the district office.

Something does not make sense..

What was the reason they gave as the reason they "Reposessed" the car?

Generally if a rental car is not returned when due they will just report it as a stolen car, at which time the cops start looking for it. But they also don't do this after an hour and a half unless there is something you are not mentioning. Just logistically it seems unlikey in this short of time. They were able to call a Repo company, get someone from that Repo company to go to a location. Especially with no guarantee that the car was going to be where they said.

Also, if you were supposed to return it at 6:30pm and they did this at 6pm. Why did you not call until the next morning. Since this happened BEFORE 6:30 wouldn't Chad(or someone) be at the location you were going to?
