I have contracted with National Auto Warranty Services, Inc., Mepco Finance Corp., Warranty America, LLC., for 5 years auto warranty services to my Nissan Quest van, I have this contract for over a year and have not used their services, Two weeks ago, I have read a local news saying that this company is not legitimate " http://starbulletin.com/2008/03/21/business/bizbriefs.html " so I called all Nissan Dealers in Hawaii none of them recognize this company, for over a week I am trying to cancel my contract and they prefer me to Dave " not giving last name" extion #7135, he is trying to convince me not to cancel this contract and giving me another day to do research about this company, after researching there are so many complaints state that they are not honor their warranty so I made up my mind to cancel it, when call back, ladies who answered the phone said that no one can help me but Dave, just leave him a message he will return call within 48 hours and transfered my calls to Dave, guess what? He is not responding or return my calls. Please spread this news to everyone you know and make sure they are not future victims. if there is any goverment agency out there you know can help me to get my money back please post it, I really appreciate it.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Check with your State Department of Insurance

AUTHOR: Elika - Phoenix (U.S.A.)

In Hawaii, contact the Insurance Division of the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs. You should be able to file a complaint with the Compliance and Enforcement Branch - they have an on-line complaint form on their website.

Most states regulate the service contract industry to some extent, although service contracts (incorrectly referred to as "extended warranties") are not insurance.

Suggestions

You can also contact the Mo State Attorney General Jay Nixon. NAWS is already under fire due to illegal issues. Like the other respondant this is not insurance. Also, you don't have to just speak to Dave. That's just a company policy to deter you from cancelling your policy. You can ask for management in the account resolution department; Max, Bob or Jeremy. Kepp all documentation when you have called and all of the documents pertaining to your policy. These are things that you can make a copy of and send it to the Mo State Attorney General. But don't give up! You don't need to speak with Dave. Also, if customer service doesn't help you then you can intern ask for the manager, Laci in that department. You can go as far as asking for administration manager, Michelle. And if that doesn't work you can call your sales rep and try to explain you situation and then ask for Eddie Struckman whom is the General Manager.
