Ultimate Warranty Corporation Deceptively deceived my repair facility, denied repair claim, then failed to respond to appeal. Rocky River Ohio

Last spring (2008) my Suburban developed a malfunction in its power steering mechanism. This was hazardous to continue driving. I took it to our local Firestone dealer who has done almost all of my repair work for years; they called the Ultimate Warranty
Customer "Service" number and were told the company was in receivership and/or bankrupt and one should not expect to get paid for this repair. They also said they would have to send an inspector before anything could be processed, but could not tell the Firestone people when that might occur.

As any reasonable customer would, I requested the Firestone people to get the problem fixed, which they did without difficulty to the tune of $700.
Then I called Ultimate Warranty whose story...once you could talk to a person...was different. They said that they had told Firestone an inspector would get there in 24 hours and ever since they have stonewalled my appeals which have involved several long phone calls and polite letters.

No business interested in Customer Service (Their website home page advertises: "unparalleled record of performance and service" "the best coverage and customer service...an unparalled commitement to customer service") would function as they have. Their chief Customer Service mode is Stonewall the Customer and Do Not Respond to Appeal>

They are in much-deserved receivership. Be sure never to buy anything from them. Only my commitment to avoiding cussing limits what I would have to say about this company.
