We purchased a vehicle at a dealership back in 2003 and an Ultimate Warranty. We have used the warranty off and on for 3 years and have trouble with claims being paid late (so the car sits in the shop for 3+days not being worked on since an adjuster needs to come out and look at the car-they don't take the word of the dealership).

Recently we had to have the cam gear and sensor replaced. The dealership called the warranty and was on hold for over an hour. My husband ended up calling and got an authorization but was told he should pay for the repair and then get reimbursed due to a delay in process the claim. He paid for it ($325 on a credit card) and faxed all the information in the next day.

A month later, we called to find out that they were going to be sending reimbursement to the dealership-we advd them that was incorrect and they needed us to refax all the information again to start the claim over. We did that. 2 weeks ago we called and were advised that a 3rd party insurance company was taking over and processing claims but that it would be an extended amount of time as they are only starting to process claims in June.

I called today to check on the status and was advised that effective 11/1/07 the insurance company took over, was reauditing everything since the company was not processing claims and that it will take more than 6-8 months to get reimbursed (they are processing claims on date status and are on claims from the 1st half of the year). With this being put on a credit card, I do not want to pay the interest on it, but the company advised there was nothing they could do.

I am filling complaints with the better business bureau, here, and anywhere I possibly can.

Ultimate Warranty Corporation Contracts insured by ARIC are after 9 of 2005 check your contract to make a direct claim Mobile Alabama

check your contract , there may be hope with this insurance company. on conract under section K, if the adminstrator fails to pay a valid claim within 60 days after you have filled proof of the claim with the adminstrator, then you may make a direct claim against ARIC , in writing.
