I purchased a 99 Mitsubishi Eclipse in Dec. 05 from A-1 Imports in Rockville, Md 20855 (301)-309-0100 and along with this vehicle I purchased the extended warranty from the company Warrantech for about $1200 usd. The first few months the car was running good, all the servicing was done on schedule and maint. was performed by certified mechanics. I recently had a ticking from the engine and the transmission would also slip ( intermittingly). I called your company numerous times and on the third time after being on hold for 20min. I was told to take it to a repair shop and they will file the claim and take care of the paper work with your company. The dealer I took it to was Sheehy Mitsubishi 2950 Crain Highway Waldorf, Md 20601.

After being told Warrantech would not pay for the tear down and investigation of the engine I informed them I will pay out of pocket for the investigation ($296.54). It was discovered that a bearing was starting to spin in the engine and the engine would need to be replaced or the engine could have a complete failure. As for the Transmission, I was told that the previous owners probably did not service it properly and that the transmission would also need to be replaced.

I was told this by two certified Mech. Two weeks after I took it in to the shop the dealer still could not get in contact with warrantech, Mr. Paul stated he called everyday and every single time he called was on hold for at least 35 min? every time!!

Finally after a little more than 14 days with the engine tore down Warrantech sent down an investigator and denied this claim stating that there was no problem with the vehicle, this is after 2 certified Mechs. physically showed them the problem. This letter is being forwarded to the BBB as well as numerous consumer websites warning people about the scam at Warrantech. I will be looking forward to your response to this matter.

Thanks

Key word Pacific Guard Warranty

AUTHOR: WTB Business Examiner - Sacramento (U.S.A.)

Up on the right hand corner of this posting, type in Pacific Guard Warranty. Read all about it.

Pacific Guard warranty are the main scammers. When they sell the warranty they fail to mention what is and isnt covered. All they want is your money. The warranty is a piece of crap. However, warrentech should be held accountable, but unfortuneatly that isn't the case. Their contractors are at fault. (Pacific Guard)

if you google Pacific Guard warranty, you will see other consumer complaints about them as well. Anywhere from telemarketing to scams. They are currently hiring sale reps in Pleasant Hill California where Pacific Guard warranty is. They really should beg for senior scammers rather than innocent sales reps looking for an honest job.

They need to shut their doors for good. They dont have it in them to rebuttal my accusation about them. Instead one of their ex con scam artists tried but failed. They gotta be choking right now (Warrentech) realizing that one of their own is a true ex-con and tried to back them up. Havent seen Courtney back. Wonder why. lol
