Back in Feb 2008, I was contacted by National Warranty Company to purchase an extend warranty. Thinking it was affordable and a good idea I went ahead and bought one.
Well today 7/2/2008 I took my car to the dealer to get the air conditioner checked. The dealer called and told me the low pressure flexible hose was leaking and needed to be replaced. He was going to call Warranty America to make sure it would be covered. He called me back to let me know " surprise" it was not covered. I called them to find out what the deal was and was told under my contract that rubber hoses are not covered. I told them that I had recieved a Vehicle Proctection Plan with Platinum and Deluxe Coverage and listed under Heater and Air Conditioning item number 0532 was Flexible Hose-Low Pressure. He told me he had no idea what I was talking about and this brochure was not from them and I would have to take it up with National Warranty Company because they gave me false information. This brochure has only Warranty America's info on it and no where on it does it say this is for advertisement only. In fact it say You Deserve " Peace of Mind" The following list describes some of the the parts covered under the plan you have chose to purchase Deluxe Coverage Over 685 Items........where is the peace of mind when they deny publishing this and deny your claims? I sent a fax with this to the claim manager and would like to see how they can deny it now?

I am the CFO of Warranty America, and I notice there is no follow up post. I suspect that is because if this is the "brochure" that Amy mentions that I think it is, it says at the bottom that it is NOT intended to be a contract or considered coverage pages. It is for marketing purposes only. She and every customer receive a copy of their contract with detailed coverage pages as to exactly what is covered and what isn't. We are obligated to follow those terms.
