I purchased an extended warranty from Warranty Gold in August 2002. I took the no interest payment option, deducted from my credit card every month, for 10 months. This was a 7yr 100,000 mile warranty.

In October of last year, 2003, I was informed by e mail, that 4 months earlier, their insurer went bankrupt. Excuse me but I was told that if that was ever to happen, that warranty Gold had a "backup" insurer that would take over if that happened. So along with the 64,999 people that have also been ripped off, we would like to know, why hasn't the attorney general looked into this matter?

I did receive an e mail stating, I could file a formal complaint. Only one thing, I need to go to Austin Texas to do that. That's just what I want to do, spend more money with no results, I live in NY, not Texas.
