TRS Recovery Services, Inc. Total scam! Trying to collect for a "bad" check I never wrote. Industry, California

This thing had ripoff written all over it. I received a notice in the mail stating that a check I had written a month prior to Home Depot was bad and that the store referred them to collect the funds. Three bells automatically went off as I read the notice: 1. I haven't shopped at Home Depot in months. 2. When I do, I NEVER write a check. 3. The check number they say I wrote was #1156. That's funny, considering the last check I wrote was #490. The notice also has three different addresses on it, all of them P.O. Boxes.

Whoever is running this operation needs to be arrested asap. On the same note, whoever is stupid enough to fall for this needs to be b*ch slapped back to reality.
