While living in the high arctic (still there half the year) I developed a benign but painful growth on my lower spine. The nursing station would not provide any solution, nor would they deal with my pain, as they have an opinion that all northerners lack any ability to have self control with medication, so they only provide upto 500mg tylenol, maximum 9 tabs at a time. I studied different pain medicines, and knowing I was already susceptible to addiction with past experience with hydromorhone and fentanyl, I decided tramadol was a good compromise. I had no experience with online pharmacies, and everything I heard about offshore ones was bad news. But I was desperate. I had a neurosurgeon friend in London who visits where I live once a year and he made me aware of a company that MIGHT help my situation, he had some patients who had dealt with them in the past against his approval, no harm seemingly done. I wrote the company an e-mail explaining my situation, and they wrote and called me back by tele also. The indian man was very professional and articulate, made sure I was well read on the meds, that was it. Well, I never received the product even 45 days later. Re-ordered, no product. When I spoke the man at best life, he said he would re ship, no charge. I was about to give up, but then I called canada customs, and they told me my meds may have been confiscated. They put me in touch with health canada, and I later found out a hold had been placed on all my orders, awaiting an import permit. I went through the hoops, got the permit, and received ALL my missing meds, most of which had been re-sent free. I wrote the man at best life and told him I got them and told him he could bill me for the other gratis orders, but he insisted that I not worry about it.
These guys have been nothing short of exceptional from my experience. They always give me a slight overcount in sample packs too.
I have tasted tramadol generic in caps, and pills branded Ultram, both in 50mg strength, both bought from canadian lic. pharmacies. They were both mildly bitter, not at all strong like say acetaminophen or ASA. I found this to be the same with Best Life's product. I also know without a doubt that these pills work, they just come on very slow compared to faster acting true opiates. I have also had my pills stolen once, and left with none cold turkey, and I experienced only very mild withdrawal, with similar duration to codeine, which is about on par with most peoples experience with tramadol. Also, Best for Life says they buy the product in bulk, and encapsulate it themselves, which is why the somewhat lower quality gelcap. This is how they keep the costs down I believe, it in no way effects the product.
